Campground Rules
We camp in a different world now than when we were kids. There are more people, and much of nature has been destroyed by their intentional or unintentional acts. In our campground, the actions of one person may be multiplied by 10,000 in just one season. This means everyone of us can have an impact on whether this beautiful piece of nature will still be here for our children and grandchildren to enjoy in the years to come. How can you help? Please - Don't trample the underbrush looking for wood, don't pick the flowers, pick up after your pet, don't litter and recycle. As the saying goes "Leave nothing but footprints, and take nothing but pictures." Thank you for helping to preserve this piece of nature in Door County.
Quiet Hours 10 pm - 8 am. On a still night, it may be necessary to keep voices to a whisper. No radios allowed from 10pm-8am. Radios, when allowed, or TVs should never be heard off of your site. Children under 18 yrs. must be on their site and under adult supervision after 10 pm. Groups need to be splitting up and everyone heading back to their own site no later than 11 pm. If one of your neighbors is being loud or creating a disturbance, please tell us.
Campfires out by midnight. Never leave a fire unattended, and please make sure fires are out before retiring or leaving a campsite. Use water to douse out glowing embers completely. Fires need to be kept small and logs larger than fire pit should not be burned. Forest fires are an ever-present danger. No garbage in fire pits. Do not move fire pits.
Please help us save our woods. Limit all activities to the designated site. Use the road to go from site to site. Do not walk, setup or store anything in the woods surrounding any site.
Per the Wisconsin DNR: Leave firewood at home! Transport of firewood from quarantined areas such as IL, IN, OH, portions of MI and now various counties in WI is a federal offense. Buy firewood within 25 miles of where you camp, so somewhere up in Door County. Thank-you in advance for your help. For more info visit www.dnr.wi.gov/invasives/firewood/.
No wood gathering, cutting or bark peeling of trees and branches, whether the tree is alive or dead. Nothing may be taken from our woods. Violators will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
Pets must never be left unattended and must be on a leash and under control at all times. Please pickup after your pet. Pets are not allowed to sleep outside the camping unit nor are they allowed in the showerhouses. Barking needs to be curtailed. No more than one pet per site without advanced approval from office.
No bike riding before 8 am or after dusk. Kids, please remember that people walking have the right of way & bike riders need to observe the speed limit also - so slow down! When at our main building please park the bikes in the bike racks. Do not ride or park bikes on the walkways surrounding the buildings.
Sorry - No skateboarding, inline skating or scooters allowed. We have no safe area for these activities.
No Fireworks.
Since many of our guests enjoy the night sky, please turn off all outside lights whenever possible.
Check-out time is 1 pm. Please leave your site clean for the next camper. Check-in is after 3 pm.
Visitors must register and obtain vehicle permit at office; and must leave by 10:00 pm. There is an extra charge if they stay overnight.
VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES MAY RESULT IN
