Door County’s Wagon Trail Campground Introduces Our New Blog!
May 30th, 2010 at 10:00“This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed at,” is often heard here.
Located in beautiful Door County, within walking distance of Lake Michigan, near the north end of the peninsula, Wagon Trail provides you with a welcome respite from a harried world. Blessed with a beautiful acreage bordering the Mink River Nature Conservancy Preserve, our wooded sites can provide you with a feeling of seclusion and privacy that is difficult to find at campgrounds these days. Combine this with highly rated clean rest room facilities and you have a first rate “camper’s campground,” for RVers and tenters alike, that provides you with an opportunity to relax and connect with nature. All this, and the rest of Door County at your fingertips. We invite you to come and enjoy our good nature.

This is the only privately owned campsite we’ll stay at. Everyone is so nice, everything is so clean. It’s quiet, relaxing, just what a vacation should be. Thank you.

We just returned from 4 days of the most relaxing and enjoyable campground experiences we have ever had. What makes Wagon Trail different is the extremely generous sites and the spacing between the sites. It makes for a very peaceful time. The sites are beautifully maintained as well as are the facilities which are, not only clean and modern, but tastefully appointed in a Northwoods theme.
We have stayed at many campgrounds across the US and have had many wonderful experiences, but Wagon Trail offers something different. In the hustle bustle of Door County’s Summer towns, there is a place of peace & calm to return to at Wagon Trail.

Wagon Trail is the best. Great friends of ours introduced us to Wagon Trail a few years ago and we have truely enjoyed each and every minute during our stays at Wagon Trail. The camp sites are very large, the staff is friendly and you start to relax the miute you arrive in this quiet setting. I can’t wait to stay again in about 2 weeks.

We have been camping at Wagon Trail in the fall for over ten years. This is the best campground that we have ever camped in, and we have camped all over the country. The staff is friendly and the sites are well maintained and secluded. The seclusion is what we enjoy the most. We don’t open the camper door and bang it into the neighboring camper. The trees provide plenty of shade and it is always cool.
The restrooms at Wagon Trail are always spotless and you never have to worry about setting anything down on the floor. There is always plenty of hot water for showers and washing up. For a great getaway place you cannot beat Wagon Trail.

Wagon Trail campground is probably the nicest campground around. I’ve been camping there for over 25 years with my parents. I have been bringing my own family back now. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the sites are the cleanest. It is such a pleasure to camp at Wagon Trail and we look forward to going back again this year. Thank you Wagon trail!
